MAGNIFICENT PROMISES

As a teacher of the English language as L2, here I find the use of "shall" (to express command) and of "will" (to express determination) most note- worthy. We are COMMANDED NOT TO BE AFRAID (verse 5), as fear comes out of lack of faith in His faithfulness and/or omnipotence.


"There SHALL no evil befall thee"; "neither SHALL" any plague come nigh thy dwelling" (verse 10). What magnificent promises!! By the way, I have a sticker with these very words. I have stuck it on my almirah, for my students and other visitors to see...
