The 91st Psalm has always brought me comfort; it is a psalm for protection. Psalm 150 is one of thanksgiving. I try to read both every morning upon rising.

It provides protection. Verse 1 states "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."

PSALM 91

I REALLY LOVE THE WORDS IN VERSE 4..... THAT HE Shall
COVER THEE WITH HIS FEATHERS, AND PUT US UNDER HIS
WINGS ...HIS TRUTH SHALL BE THY SHIELD AND BUCKLER...
It reminds me of a hen when the chickens are running
for their protection from the eagles ....that alone
made me realise how God can protect us from evil ...
and every time I look upon that and look at the dark
night, or when there is a lot of lightning, I read the
verse 5......thou shall not be afraid for the terror
by night, nor for the arrow that flieth by day.
I then look at verse 9 ..... because thou has made the
LORD , which is my refuge, even the most high, thy
habitation. You can go on .....it really makes me safe
it is like you have police or a security guard.......
He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee
in all thy dwelling.
I feel very comfortable and free from any wrong doing
I am not afraid of anything to come nearer to me, no
matter how dark and painful it is.......I know my God
will stretch out his feathers and tuck me inside and i will
be 100% safe.

Psalm 91

Psalm 91 has protected me so many times. One day I was feeling like something bad was going to happen to me so I prayed for God's protection. After the prayer I read Psalm 91 and sat down with my pc. And low and behold my ceiling fan, on top speed directed to my seating area, fell! But, with God on my side, nothing happened to me. I thank God for that.

I love this psalm, for its confidence. A thousand shall fall by your side, and ten thousand by your right hand; it shall not come near thee. Then another, is the trampling of the snake and lion under your feet. Can't you see that you are already a winner?
